That line is free and open day and night, and their engineer will make the gas safe.
Once that is done, our Gas Safe engineers can find the fault and repair it. We test it before it goes back into use. We are open 7 days, 9am to 7pm, and cover Luton and Dunstable. We are not a 24-hour service.
If You Smell Gas: Do This First
Do not use light switches, plugs or doorbells, and do not light a match or smoke. Open doors and windows. If it is safe to reach, turn the gas off at the meter. The lever is off when it sits across the pipe.
Get everyone out of the property, then call 0800 111 999 from outside. Do not go back in until the emergency engineer says it is safe.
What the Gas Emergency Engineer Does
The emergency engineer finds where the gas is coming from and makes it safe. That may mean turning off one appliance, or the whole gas supply.
They do not usually repair your boiler, cooker or pipework. They may leave a notice or label on the appliance. You then need a Gas Safe engineer to fix the fault. That is where we come in.

Carbon Monoxide Warning Signs
Carbon monoxide has no smell. Headaches, dizziness, sickness and tiredness that ease when you go outside can be signs. So can a lazy yellow flame or dark marks around an appliance.
Think there is carbon monoxide? Turn off the appliance, open windows, get outside and call 0800 111 999. If anyone feels unwell, get medical help straight away.
